"Rock the Vote!"

Well I had a pretty long-standing poll up for a while and I don't know why it didn't garner as many votes as I'd hoped, but 20's as good as 200 I guess. The results follow, along with a brief description of why I would've voted for whoever. Going in winning order....

Charlie Brown- 30%
This is where my vote landed. I picked Charlie Brown because of how cool he is. For one, he's nice and thoughtful (not to pat myself on the back). In addition, he's a sucker (ie. the Lucy football gag), a dreamer (ie. the red-headed girl), he related to women well (ie. Peppermint Patty), he tried his best and always seemed to fall short (ie. Christmas), but he'd always end up with something in the end. He wasn't always a joy either, sometimes he was downright jealous and mean, but who isn't sometimes? These endearing qualities helped me choose Charlie Brown as my most likely candidate for a cartoon character that reminds me of me.

Arnold- 25%
I was once compared to Arnold by Cindy Meng, which got me to watch Hey Arnold! to see if it was a compliment or insult. Arnold's cool and he's thoughtful too. While he seems to lack a mean streak that was occasionally seen in Charlie Brown, he is a nice guy. He tries to help people, understand differences, and make people get along despite their differences. I don't have a football head, but I do like that someone thought I had the same qualities as Arnold. I don't have a Helga that I know of though (Helga is madly in love with Arnold, but she won't tell him--instead she harasses him), but hey, we're not looking for a cartoon Pete, just a cartoon that reminds us of Pete.

Bobby Hill- 20%
I put Bobby up as an option for a few reasons. One, I knew Kyle would look for someone with a direct or indirect connection to homosexuality. Two, Bobby is like me in that he does a lot of stupid things. Did you see the one where he dances with dogs?! C'mon, he's crazy. Bobby, like me, is the fat funny kid and I put him up as an option for people who saw me as that. I suppose someone did, which is cool because I laugh a lot at Bobby Hill. Bobby does have Kahn, the next door neighbor-girlfriend, and I don't, but if you think about it, all these people need love interests for some plotlines.

Joe Swanson- 20%
I put Joe up because he's handicapped, that's pretty much it. I must say that Joe has some great lines in the Family Guy show, and I enjoy every one of them, even when they're few. Joe has a gung-ho attitude that makes him an achiever, that's something I lack, but the fact that he keeps up his spirits in the face of adversity shows something else that I don't have. Oh well, let's see the last one...

Batman- 5%
I don't know who picked Batman because I don't think I share anything with him. I'm not crafty, prepared, super-smart, agile, strong, vengeful, rich, nor do I look good in tights. I put him up as a joke and it seems that someone decided to take me up on it. Kudos person. Wait--maybe my sick sense of fairness could've provoked someone to vote for him.

In the end, I'm pleased with the voting and how they all ranked in. I know Kyle voted at least twice and I think Alisha went for Arnold because an Arnold action figure ended up on my door one day. Who cares who voted for who, eh? Let's be happy that you just got another article to read out of this.
