We've been at this website thing for almost three years. We've seen some cool people come and go and some stuck around. Now I don't want you to lose focus of what the site's all about, so we're doing the Pete Phillips is Amazing Contest 2005. We've done this two times before. The first was blazingly successful with 13 entries, I think. The second time around yeilded no submissions at all, even from Kyle who lived right next door. In visitor's defense, there was only seven months between the first and second. I was hurt though, so I haven't done it until now. This is also one of those popular demand things. I didn't want to have a contest, but we'll do it for the fans. So what is this all about anyway?

Basically the rules are to submit anything that talks about me. You don't have to know me and it doesn't have to be fact-based. It doesn't need any credibility whatsoever. You'll see some samples in a bit. Anyway, you can work in groups or work individually. This year I'm going to allow multiple submissions too. There's no reason why you can't exercise two good ideas, right? And you wonder, what do I get out of all of this? Well let's talk prizes...

Prizes for the Pete Phillips is Amazing Contest suck. It's a tradition. This year you cannot win a pair of my favorite pants though, so you may as well quit if you like me that much. I'm gonna try to swing duplicating my last radio show at WRKC though, so you can win a copy of that. This year each prize will come in or with a plastic egg because for the past three years I get one every Easter and they just take up space. Prizes you can win come in packs. I'll mail them if you're far away.

First Prize:
The live double-cd from Gary Numan Scarred featuring, of course, his hit "Cars", a dinosaur from a BK kids meal, an inflatable beach/basketball from King's College spirit day, a 28 Days Later sticker with the phrase "The end is extremely f--king nigh" (without the dashes), miniature playing cards, free use of my Price Chopper AdvantEdge card (which isn't related to any financial account I have-- good for discounts only), a handful of eraser-condoms, an Ellio's pizza tee shirt (only one size available), a free expenses-paid night at Pete's apartment, a digital video thank you from Pete, and more.

Second Prize:
The last record I owned that's pink: Him's Razorblade Romance (which is supposed to be pretty good), an unused Scooby Doo wash cloth (use it as a duster if you don't believe me), Avon chap stick, a Stitch/Play-Doh kids meal toy, a 28 Days Later sticker with the phrase "The end is extremely f--king nigh" (without the dashes), a handful of eraser-condoms, two WRKC pins for your hip denim jacket, a free game of Scooby Doo Clue with Pete Phillips, and more.

Third Prize:
A CD sampler from Rev. Al Green's latest string of re-releases and some songs from his latest Everything's OK (which was released on Pete's birthday this year), blaster balls (two small balls that spark when you smack them together), magic grow pills (those pills that turn into mini-sponges), some eraser condoms, a handshake from Pete (cannot mail), and more.

Now for some samples of past entries:
and
Find the written ones here. Excuse the AWFUL colors used for text.

What I'd like to see is at least one audio submission. I haven't gotten an audio or video one, but video takes legitimate work. People like to look at pictures (no porn, Joe), write a poem or an essay, whatever. And don't forget...
