Kids Fool Village Idiot... Claim Accomplishment

with kids....
So
I'm doing this out of necessity I think. I thought I'd write a
little note here to tell all the readers how great of an RA I
am and how clever everybody must think I am. Read this next
part in the Smokey and the Bandit right-before-commercial
voice, it's the only thing I can think of that will convey the
right amount of mock-seriousness:
Whoo-wee,
the kids at Luksic Hall had never seen such a practical joke
so elab'rate before. One girl holed up in another gal's room
from 3:30-10:30 just to trick ol' Sheriff Pete Phillips into
thinkin' she wasn't back from home yet!
Yeah,
so Alisha sat in Molly's room for five hours yesterday just so
she could come out and say, "Haha! I've been here since
3:30!" I suppose the wait was worth it for that rascal
Alisha. The cover story was pretty good though--Molly allegedly
got lost on the way to Alisha's house and turned around to
come back without her. This isn't so far-fetched considering
Molly locked her own keys in her car while getting gas this
weekend (damn Pennsylvania and their self-serve policies).
Then Alisha sat online and bad-mouthed Molly all afternoon,
while I defended my favorite resident and Molly sat in her
room 'reading.' Oh sure, there were signs that they couldn't
cover up, like Molly and Alisha hadn't been online at the same
time, it took Molly more than 5 hours to read 50 pages, and
Molly would visit me on her own recognizance without anybody
else. These are all uncommon occurrences (except maybe the
reading thing, but I offered to read to Molly).
In
the end, were their any losers? Well Alisha, but she was one
to begin with, right? Molly's still the bestest resident in ol'
Marie F Luksic Hall and I was my usual complacent self when
learning that I got fooled, "Oop--ya got me... should I
be more upset?" I never react well when people have pre-conceived
ideas of how I should react.
