me, in the near-dark, enjoying my entries

The Pete Phillips is Amazing Contest was a success! I received twelve entries, one of which was late, and they were all deemed cool to pretty cool by me. I'm glad at my warm reception as demonstrated by the picture to the side.

I received picture entries and written entries that helped make me feel popular and, as Kyle put it, like a "cult star."  Still,  I only received one entry from a person I never met, Paul, and it was very cool. Though his girlfriend, Amy Fedele, says she helped him with all of his research, he could've gotten all of his information from the site itself, which I found quite cool. The final prize packages are as follows:

First Prize:
New CD from Russian Pop Lesbian Teen Duo Tatu called 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane, One box of shortbread Girl Scout Cookies, the Pete Phillips Children's Hospital Medical Bracelet, One free Mountain Dew when you buy one, One free college team jersey from Mountain Dew, a good tape of the Pete Phillips Happy Fun Time Radio Show on WRKC, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trading Card, and free Coby headphones to listen to the tape with!

Second Prize:
Peppermint Pez, WRKC button, WRKC sticker featuring the lame-o brass knuckles, the book "Researching Online: Fifth Edition," a CD from Minneapolis band called Clovis (rock), and a lesser quality tape of the Pete Phillips Radio Show (before it became Happy Fun Time).

The judge in the contest was Joe Baldasare, my neighbor, who was disqualified early in the running because his entry was too inappropriate for posting on King's College web space. See the list for a description.

Thanks for all of your entries guys, they were all cool, but now to announce the winners:
First Place: Paul Hamilton
Second Place: Andrea Rossi & Stephanie Brennan
Honorable Mention for Inappropriateness
(and honorary Judge): Joe Baldasare

Thanks for all your entries everybody, I really appreciate your time and effort! Maybe there'll be another contest later on? We'll see...
