What's Pete been up to?

Well for one, I'm still trying to find a place to live for next year. That's going terribly. I'm having absolutely no luck and I'm doing the internal stress-out thing that I do where I'm panicking more than you know because I look calm on the outside. It's no fun.

Secondly, I'm gathering all of my stuff together for an internship. It's a broad and big search. So far I sent a pack of stuff to Entertainment Weekly to pursue an editorial or graphics position. It was rushed and I did half of my stressing while at work at Media Services. Thanks to the calming and capable support from Mr. Sam Falbo and Mrs. Melody Priebe I got the stuff out on time. Still, my search isn't complete until I'm on the road to being famous.

Third, ya know, I am in college, so I do go to class and stuff. Currently, I have a group project making a website for a financial planner. At the same time we have to build a personal web page-- pshh-- who knew? And in magazine article writing I'm starting to write a query to sell the articles. I'm also still learning about the English Language, Monday nights with Photoshop, and Director practice for the big old Wilkes-Barre project.

Did I mention the Wilkes-Barre project? Yeah, I'm working too. Ten hours a week actually (not counting the Media Services hours which round out at about 5-8 more hours a week). That's going well and I've worked on the same thing since I got there, so it should be good when I'm done. It's a tourism-type site for Downtown Wilkes-Barre, a task within itself.

Also, in between, I'm earning my scholarship money with WRKC as Station Manager. Luckily the DJ's are keeping on task and showing up, so it's been an easy semester in that job. Kyle, Tim, and DJ are also helping to alleviate some pressure there, so thanks to them. I'm also collecting money from the Crown scholarship which keeps me busy far less than WRKC, but considering the rest of my schedule, it's okay.

So the last thing I need from you is complaints about the site. I've been getting them and it's getting to be a problem. Here's a rundown of most of the types of complaints I get:

1. The Update:

Hey ass, look at my schedule. You update, ya jerk. I do my best to update at Media Services, but we actually do work sometimes there, and if I have homework or portfolios to send out, they have priority over website updates. sorry kids, but this doesn't really pay like a job will (or does). I really get tired of people telling me I have to update, because more often than not, I'm aware of this fact and I feel bad about it already. If you figure out how to add another hour to the day, then I'll dedicate that hour to updating the site for your enjoyment. In addition, sometimes there's just not stuff to write about. For this reason I added the section where you can upload stories yourself for free publication on PetePhillipsOnline, or story ideas. Maybe I forgot to specify though, I meant stories that don't suck, like Kyle's submission to write about more Kyle. Just kidding though, everyone had pretty good ideas.

2. Spelling

Wanna know how to piss me off? This is how! Now if you're as mentally incompetent as this individual to sign the guestbook submitting a spelling error, and LEAVING ONE BEHIND YOURSELF, then you should keep visiting to make me feel smarter. I'll admit that I made a spelling error, that's no problem, but nothing is funnier that this type of stuff. Like the guy covered in paint saying, "You got a lil' stain there on your shirt." Or as Greg would say, "Hey pot. This is kettle. You're black." Furthermore, I have no editor of this site, and if I'm updating within the time constraints listed above, then you can't expect perfection. To apply for an editorial position, start by kissing my ass. Hehe-- oh that was a clever one...

3. Content

Yes-- That's my own damn sister. Where everyone was cowardly anonymous, my sister had the guts to come forward as herself. I respect her for that, but for other complaints like these, please see sections marked "1" and "2." Thank you and Perry Mason rules.

So are all you complainants trying to tell me to quit? Is that it? It's awfully discouraging to see my guestbook shrouded in complaints, and I'll try my hardest to fix all the errors in captions, spelling, content, and anything else you people may submit. Please submit all further errors in person or through the article submission link. Thanks.
