"I never look back at my old work
and wish that I'd done something different. It's simply
not a question of done right or done wrong... We made it
the way that we did, and people either liked it, or they
didn't."

Welcome to PetePhillipsOnline.com (aka. PPO).
I'm sure you're asking yourself what this site's all about
and it's pretty hard to put a word on. Basically it's just
a place for me to have fun and hopefully make you, the visitor,
laugh. I write articles for the site, which can be about pretty
much anything, but they usually have to do with my life (hence
the Pete Phillips of Pete Phillips Online). The site also
changes looks once in a while. I don't have dynamic content,
so when I change the look, the archived stories stay looking
the same most of the time.
Now I write a few regular types of articles.
Once in a while, I get a real masterpiece like Shorts
with words on the ass. I make up stories about my friends
a lot, which has inspired my co-worker, Sam Falbo, to make
the request that when he becomes famous, I exclusively write
the tabloid articles about him because no one else could do
it better. I write about other friends too, like Alexa (Alexa
Stripped of Miss Wheelchair PA) because I usually want
to remind people that PPO isn't a boy's club. Sometimes I
try to work in real-life news stories, like in Alexa's example,
because a lot of news is ludicrous. You'll find a whole section
of Bad Movie Reviews here, that can be long ( Killer
Clowns From Outer Space) or short (Gothika).
I also do a number of articles that I like to call the subject
of "popscurity" like Lou
Diamond Phillips is My Uncle. They're fun to write, but
it takes me a long time to find just the right subjects. Also
you'll see a number of stories that are just about my everyday
life (An
Easter Letter to BJ). And you can never miss out when
you get a good story about the escapades of Pete and Greg
(Pete
& Greg go to Little Caesar's).
I hope you like what you see around the site.
Sure there is a fair share of inside jokes and strange references
(as well as bad spelling and occasional grammar mistakes),
but I tend to think that a good percentage of the site is
fairly universal. I try to get visitors from all over because
I want to meet new people and become a "popscure"
star myself, but I don't hold out much hope. After viewing
the site, a new friend I met on MySpace said, "You're
a strange strange man that loves himself a little too much."
I assure you that this is hardly the case, but once in a while
I get something from someone regarding the site that does
make me love myself for a bit, and thanks for all of you who
will do so in the future. Enjoy yourself, and find a high-speed
connection for that bitchin' media section. Don't forget to
sign the guestbook, and if you have something you want on
the site, I accept just about any submissions. I'd love writers! |
